Transportation

Małopolska is a well-connected region both within Poland and across Europe. Its excellent transportation accessibility includes:

  • The John Paul II International Airport – Kraków Airport is located 11 km west of Kraków’s city center. The airport borders the A4 motorway (Kraków–Katowice section) to the north and lies along key transport routes in Poland and Europe. Passengers can travel to and from Kraków Airport (Kraków Lotnisko station) using modern trains operated by Koleje Małopolskie Sp. z o.o. The trains are fully air-conditioned and equipped with power outlets, Wi-Fi, and ticket machines.

The train stop is located directly next to the terminal, behind the multi-level parking garage. It is connected to the terminal by a covered pedestrian walkway. Thanks to the direct link to the airport, it offers an ideal transportation solution for all tourists staying in the center of Kraków, with the journey from the city center to the airport taking just 17 minutes.
